Nick Ehrenberg joins StoryTeller Club Marketing as our newest Senior Content Strategist, bringing a wealth of experience and skills to our team. With a background spanning journalism and digital marketing, Nick has honed his expertise in crafting effective content strategies that drive business goals. Read on to learn more about Nick and his illustrious career!
Nick’s college career began in 2003 at Drake University where he studied Internet Journalism. He chose Drake for its outstanding journalism program, which initially drew him to this Des Moines school. His passion for journalism led him to intern at CBS News in Washington D.C., an experience that ignited his career in digital media. After graduation, Nick delved into digital advertising as a Multi-Media Advertising Specialist at the Iowa City Press-Citizen.
His career then took him to iHeartMedia Inc. in Minnesota, where he served as Digital News Director, managing multiple websites and gaining valuable insights into audience engagement. Nick furthered his education with a Master's in Strategic Communication Management from Concordia University. Around this time, his wife was receiving her Master’s in Social Work. He shares how neither of them could attend their graduation ceremony because, on the day of their graduation on May 11, 2013, his wife went into labor with their first child, Gideon.
In the same year as receiving his Master’s and welcoming Gideon into the world, Nick began working for TopRank Marketing in Minneapolis. At TopRank Marketing, Nick wore various hats, from Content Marketing Lead to Account Manager, refining his ability to strategize and execute tailored content solutions. He later transitioned to U.S. Bank as a Content Writer/Strategist, focusing on lead generation and content marketing strategies for corporate and commercial audiences.
Within this time period, he and his wife welcomed their second child, Suzie, into the world.
Nick's leadership was tested during his tenure at Calabrio, Inc., where he navigated the complexities of content and social media management during the COVID-19 pandemic. He spearheaded initiatives that bolstered thought leadership and demand generation, demonstrating his adaptability and strategic abilities.
In 2021, Nick embarked on his second Master’s journey, when he began studying Leadership and Organizations online at Anderson University. This Master’s of Science degree nurtured his passion for communication leadership.
This passion led Nick to Corporate Visions, where he conducted workshops on conversational sales and marketing messaging. His expertise expanded further in 2023 at the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he contributed as a Senior Content Designer, developing skills in content design and user experience.
At this time, he and his family moved across the country to Massachusetts, where they now reside near extended family in Hamilton, MA.
In June 2024, Nick joined StoryTeller Club Marketing, eager to apply his diverse skill set as a Senior Content Strategist. His role focuses on developing comprehensive content strategies aligned with client objectives, ensuring impactful communication that resonates with target audiences.
His role combines the challenge of defining the right messages and methods for communication, ensuring they resonate with the intended audience at the right time. Nick's approach is grounded in understanding client objectives and tailoring strategies to not only meet these goals but also to solve the problems and answer the questions faced by their target audiences.
When Nick isn’t working, he cherishes his role as a dad. Whether he's sharing his best dad jokes or challenging his kids as Luigi in Mario Party, he values every moment spent with them. On weekends, you'll often find him and his family enjoying various activities around town, such as visiting the arcade, going for bike rides, or listening to his favorite throwback tunes. Additionally, Nick has a passion for singing, which has been a significant part of his adult life. He loves participating in choral or jazz groups, channeling his love for music and performance.
